A full front-yard landscape and hardscape transformation — Eva Champlain Grey paver walkway, 220 linear feet of cobblestone borders, new plantings, brick veneer landing, irrigation relocation, and fresh loam throughout.
Project Overview
This Shrewsbury project involved removing an old walkway and aging shrubs, then rebuilding the entire front landscape from the ground up. The new paver walkway was installed with 12" of ¾" dense grade compacted in four separate 3" lifts, then a 1" screed layer of ⅜" chip stone — built to handle Massachusetts winters without shifting.
The pavers are Eva Champlain Grey — a clean, classic look that ties into the home's stone and brick exterior. A concrete step with new brick veneer was installed at the landing, and the existing brick veneer was removed and replaced throughout.
Around the new landscape beds, approximately 220 linear feet of cobblestone border was installed — defining every edge cleanly and giving the whole front yard a structured, finished look. The irrigation system was relocated and extended with new heads to serve the redesigned planting layout.
New shrubs and perennials were planted throughout the beds: Green Velvet Boxwoods, Steeds Hollies, Walker's Low Catmint, Limelight Hydrangeas, and Karl Foerster Reed Grass. All disturbed areas were finish-graded and topped with fresh loam.
